We’re local. We all live, learn, and play in the communities we serve, giving us first-hand, local expertise. Some of our families have been in the Triangle area since the 1800s, but some of us relocated here ourselves. We understand the mindset of newcomers and Triangle-lifers.
We’re educated in all things Real Estate. Admittedly, the bar is low in this industry, and many people grab their license and their education stops there. In an ever-changing industry you must always continue learning, and we’re committed to that.
We’re professionals. We don’t sell homes as a side hustle; this is our career and how we sustain our families. We can help you buy, sell, or invest in residential properties. We are experienced. Every single real estate transaction is different and teaches agents something new. Nothing in this industry matches the value of experience. As a team, we are able to draw on not only our own transactional experiences, but those of our entire time.
We’re leaders. Our team leader, Kevin, sits on the Board of Directors of both the NC Realtors Association and Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors, so we’re always at the forefront of what’s up and coming in our industry.
We’re Gen Xers & Millennials. Our parents are Baby Boomers and members of The Silent Generation. Our kids are Gen Z & Gen Alpha. One way or another, we connect to your stage of life.
When it comes to team size, we’re juuuuust right (as Goldilocks would say). There are big teams in the Triangle where each client is a number in a spreadsheet. They don’t remember that you can’t move your close date because of little Lucy’s dance recital – we do. They play a volume game, and thus it isn’t important to give the best service, because the money they spend buying internet leads from Zillow keeps new clients coming. We prefer to give amazing service to our clients so that they always come back to us for their real estate needs, and they share their positive experience with family and friends. We also prefer our size over that of a small operation, because when you’re just one person it’s hard to show that house that’s going to go under contract in hours if you have a sick kid at home. It’s hard to take care of your clients while you’re on vacation or visiting your parents. And you simply can’t rely on the additional experiences of others if you’re on your own.
We are nearly 100% referral based. We don’t spend money on buying client leads. We just take really amazing care of people and that keeps our business bustling. That’s something we’re pretty proud of.
Speaking of pride, we are Realtor.com rated #2 among thousands of agents in Raleigh & Southern Wake County based on ratings provided by actual clients we have served. We’re pretty proud of that, too.

We are the faces of The Sold By Starkey Team, but we have another team of top-professionals assembled behind the scenes to help – photographers & videographers, home stagers, marketing pros, inspectors, appraisers, handy men & women, General Contractors, and all the vendors you need for a smooth, safe, transaction.
We are focused. This industry is full of new tools, programs, blah blah blah, that agents use to reel clients in. We choose to focus on the things we KNOW are proved to sell homes rather than the flashy gimmicks that are simply there to impress prospective clients, but serve no real purpose. Our laser focus on what really works is why our listings only spend an average of 9 days on the market… well below the Triangle average.
We appreciate our clients and we make sure it shows. We love to get past-clients together to show our appreciation once or twice a year. In the past we’ve rented out a brewery for beers on us, we’ve hosted Santa Claus for cookies & milk with the kiddos, we’ve treated parents to pedicures on the first day back to school, and we’ve hired a professional photographer to do mini-sessions for our clients at a local park.
